Role OverviewThe Senior Bridge Engineer designs and produces structural plans for bridges, retaining walls, and culverts, as well as performs design calculations, technical reports, and quality control reviews. The position requires collaboration with project managers, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to diverse projects.
What You Will Do
Lead and oversee bridge-related tasks and projects, develop comprehensive plans, specifications, and estimates for diverse bridge projects, prepare technical reports, and perform alternative analyses for optimized outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis or structural engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 8+ years of progressive experience in structural/bridge design
- Familiarity with Illinois DOT, Illinois Tollway, and Chicago DOT standards
- Proficient in structural design software such as MicroStation/OpenBridge/OpenRoads, Mathcad, LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare, MDX, LPILE, and others
