Job Description
The Senior Budget Analyst position at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction requires thorough knowledge of governmental budgeting, public finance, public or business administration, quantitative/statistical analysis and forecasting. The successful candidate will evaluate budgetary operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of Grants Management, balance allocation line items, and design and maintain microcomputer generated spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of governmental budgeting, public finance, public or business administration, quantitative/statistical analysis and forecasting
  • Skill in use of applicable software applications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, public finance, public administration, or business administration, or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience in budgeting that included fiscal management & control involving use of quantitative/statistical analysis, or completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, public finance, public administration or business administration, or equivalent
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
