Role Overview

The Senior Business Initiatives Lead will be at the center of Allspring's investment data ecosystem, shaping how investment data is sourced, governed, cleansed, validated, and delivered across the organization. This role will enable confident decision-making for investment, operations, risk, compliance, and client-facing teams.

What You Will Do

The Senior Business Initiatives Lead will lead and manage the Investment Data Council, partner with stakeholders to prioritize enterprise data issues, and oversee governance practices for critical investment data domains. They will also define and strengthen data quality standards, provide strategic oversight of data sourcing, and identify opportunities to simplify and automate data operations processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investment data, investment operations, portfolio operations, data governance, reference data, market data, valuation, or a related investment services function.
  • In-depth understanding of investment data concepts, including securities, issuers, benchmarks, pricing, valuation, reference data, and/or investment product data.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional governance forums, working groups, councils, or senior stakeholder routines.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, facilitate decisions, and influence across business, investment, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Experience with data quality management, data cleansing, issue resolution, controls, documentation, and governance practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and drive sustainable solutions.
  • Proficiency with data management tools and software, such as Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, PowerApps, or similar technologies.
