Role OverviewThe Senior Cabinet Maker performs highly skilled trades work related to cabinet making tasks and projects. Employees in this classification are responsible for performing design, layout, building, installation, and repair of all types of cabinetry in accordance with established project objectives. Work requires advanced technical trade skills and physical agility to successfully perform the work.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include responding to internal and external customers, receiving and reviewing work orders, functioning in a lead capacity for complex projects, performing field activities, preparing materials and supplies cost estimates, planning project task and completion schedules, and designing and/or reviewing drawings.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have six years of progressively skilled and knowledgeable experience in carpentry work, with two years at the level of a skilled cabinet maker, and the ability to design and build custom furniture according to client specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six years of progressively skilled and knowledgeable experience in carpentry work
- Fork lift operating certification
- Training in use of powder charged fasteners
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license class D
