Senior CAD Designer

Requirements

• Manage CAD drafting standards and procedures for Schnabel's Tunnel Business Unit.
• Develop and utilize BIM models for tunnel and underground applications.
• Prepare 2D CAD drawings for contract documents based on input and guidance from engineers and other design staff.
• Prepare Civil3D drawings for tunnel projects including grading plans, tunnel alignment, profiles, and sections.
• Maintain drawing files, CAD standards, and other digital files in accordance with internal and client standards and procedures.
• Manage drawing set development in cloud-based platform, such as AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and Bentley ProjectWise.
• Prepare 3D models for displaying complex features or structures.
• Prepare graphics for engineering reports, professional papers, and presentations.
• Participate in professional trainings to develop and implement new skills related to the various disciplines of work.
• Perform training of other technical staff on drafting standards and procedures.
• Use architectural and engineering scales.
• Create new drawings from historical as-built drawings and records.
• Read and interpret drawings and mark-ups.
• Self-check work for completeness and accuracy.
• Willingness to travel for meetings with contractors, engineers, and project managers.
