Senior Civil Engineer

Join SEH as a Senior Civil Engineer to help build and grow the company's municipal civil practice in Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities. As a respected, client-focused professional, you will lead the growth of SEH's municipal civil practice, build trusted relationships with cities, utilities, and other key stakeholders, and develop practical strategies to convert relationships into projects and long-term accounts.

What You Will Do

Lead the growth of SEH's municipal civil practice, build trusted relationships with cities and stakeholders, identify client needs, develop project approaches, and serve as a senior project manager and technical leader for public infrastructure and private development projects.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
• Residence in or near Austin, TX, with strong regional connections
• Proven track record of driving business growth and market expansion in civil engineering
• Flexible and broad technical skills across civil infrastructure disciplines
• Comprehensive understanding of public infrastructure funding—federal, state, and local
• Demonstrated ability to build client trust and contribute to business development, proposals, interviews, and project pursuit
• Strong understanding of the Central Texas municipal, utility, regulatory, and development environment
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, including team leadership and project management
• Ability to build, develop, and guide engineering teams to achieve targeted business outcomes
• Confident public communicator who can represent SEH to Councils, Boards, Associations
