Role OverviewThis individual would be responsible for reviewing, processing, investigating, evaluating, negotiating and the settling of assigned property damage or bodily injury claims with the authority level generally up to $150,000.00. This position requires an understanding and knowledge of litigation management in multiple jurisdictions. The role involves complete coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of claims within authority granted. The position also requires resolving coverage disputes with insureds and agents, preparing coverage opinion letters, and some travel for mediations and settlement conferences.
What You Will Do
Review, process, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned property damage or bodily injury claims within authority granted. Conduct necessary investigation to determine coverage, liability, and damages. Evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned property damage or severe GL and/or complex bodily injury claims within authority granted.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of relevant industry GL claim handling experience, multi-state experience, and litigation experience. Strong negotiation skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects are required. The candidate should be able to travel for mediations and settlement conferences.
