Role Overview

This is a full-time OPS position that provides comprehensive administrative support to the Forest Management Bureau. The incumbent must independently organize work priorities, maintain electronic and physical files, and ensure effective use of computer resources. The position requires advanced proficiency in word processing, database management, email systems, and specialized software.

What You Will Do

The incumbent will serve as primary administrative support for bureau staff, manage incoming calls, distribute mail, prepare professional correspondence, coordinate copying, and maintain select electronic bureau files. They will also enter and update Forest Stewardship Program plan progress data in the Forest Stewardship Program database and manage administrative functions of the TREE CITY USA program.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or its equivalent and one year of secretarial or clerical work experience, or a college education from an accredited institution that can substitute for the required work experience. The position requires occasional to moderate travel and possession of a valid Class E driver license.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • One year of secretarial or clerical work experience
  • College education from an accredited institution (30 semester or 45 quarter hours)
  • Vocational/technical training in secretarial science or office/business studies (720 classroom hours)
  • Valid Class E driver license
