Role OverviewThe Sr. Clerk position provides administrative and technical support to the Dental Department. This entry-level-administrative position is responsible for dealing directly with the public by providing program information, answering client questions, verifying insurance coverage, and entering data into several computer databases.
What You Will Do
Completes client check in and check out processes, resolves routine billing errors, verifies client insurance eligibility information, answers routine billing questions, scans and attaches documents to client medical records, processes requests for copies of medical/dental records, and performs front desk clerical duties.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will be required to complete the Form I-9 and that information will be verified using the E-Verify system. E-Verify is operated by the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with the Social Security Administration to verify employment eligibility.
Requirements
- Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position
- Must have at least 1 year of answering telephone calls in an office setting
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a customer service environment that provides face-to-face interaction
- Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
- Must have experience scheduling medical/dental appointments
- Must have experience in the medical/dental healthcare field
