Role OverviewThe Senior Clinical Scientist will be responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring internal and external clinical studies. The role is part of the Structural Heart Division, which aims to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
What You Will Do
The Senior Clinical Scientist will develop and/or review departmental operating procedures, develop study protocols, follow standard and complex procedures, participate in clinical strategy development, and identify and qualify external clinical sites.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have a strong background in conducting clinical studies, laboratory skills, and experience in medical device-related studies. Knowledge of regulations governing medical devices and experience conducting medical device clinical trials are desirable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum 8 years in conducting clinical studies or related laboratory skills
- Experience in medical device-related studies is desirable
- Knowledge of regulations governing medical devices is desirable
- Experience conducting medical device clinical trials preferred (TAVR in particular)
- Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trial experience
- Physician management
- Safety management desirable
- Experience working with external clinical research committees (i.e. screening committees, DSMB, CEC)
