Role OverviewThis position is an independent contributing information technology professional who is responsible for planning, developing, testing, installing, maintaining and providing ongoing optimization of application(s) and related information technologies. They will be developing and applying expertise in two or more clinical and business application areas by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow within Cook Children’s Integrated Delivery System.
What You Will Do
The expected activities include monitoring the effectiveness of applications and related information technologies, modifying applications as needed, defining and developing reports, participating in application upgrades, and diagnosing failures encountered in application software and related technologies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting, and experience with clinical software and/or hardware technology or databases. They should have a full understanding of the complex Philips Patient Monitoring platform and IT knowledge overseeing integration with EHR applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or Sciences
- At least 5 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
- At least 5 years' experience with clinical software and/or hardware technology or databases
- Experience with Philips Patient Monitoring skills from a clinical engineering perspective
- IT knowledge overseeing integration with EHR applications
