Role Overview

The Principal Cloud Platform Engineer will design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve CEI's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric platform. This hands-on role provides the shared cloud foundation for enterprise integrations, APIs, workflow automation, data pipelines, internal applications, analytics, and AI solutions.

What You Will Do

Build, configure, and maintain Azure cloud-native services, support Microsoft Fabric and OneLake connectivity, establish and maintain standardized development, QA, and production environments, provision and manage cloud resources, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement centralized logging, monitoring, and operational telemetry.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of Azure serverless computing, experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD pipelines, and strong scripting and automation skills. The engineer will work collaboratively with Enterprise Applications, Data Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, project teams, implementation partners, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure serverless computing
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, Key Vault, networking, and secure application connectivity
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or similar tools
  • Experience with production incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and operational documentation
  • Ability to translate architecture, security, and operational requirements into repeatable platform standards and implementation patterns
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Five or more years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or a closely related technical role
