Role Overview

The Senior Commodity Manager is responsible for managing indirect spend categories, including marketing, IT, and logistics, through effective category strategy development, alignment, and execution. This role serves as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring business unit and enterprise-wide objectives are achieved.

What You Will Do

Develop category strategies, align and execute category strategy, provide analysis of price and market trends, complete spend analytics, and manage multiple project timelines effectively.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of sourcing experience, including category strategy development and execution, RFI/RFQ management, contract negotiation, and procurement compliance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, are also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of sourcing experience, including category strategy development and execution, RFI/RFQ management, contract negotiation, and procurement compliance
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation preferred
  • Experience sourcing within Marketing, IT, and/or Logistics categories preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods and perform significant computer-based work
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
