Role Overview

The Senior Communications Manager performs all duties related to managing communications for the library. They work independently under the supervision of the Library Director and supervise Communications Staff. The role involves developing communication plans, managing the library's presence in marketing venues, and acting as the library's official spokesperson with the media.

What You Will Do

The Senior Communications Manager will develop and implement communication plans, work with interdepartmental teams, and manage the library's communications budgets. They will also provide support and training to library staff on media protocols and stay current on library and community issues.

The ideal candidate will have seven years of increasingly responsible media relations, public relations, or journalism experience, including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
