Role OverviewThis position is considered a field position and will not be required to report into a physical office on a daily basis. The Senior Compliance Safety & Health Officer will serve as the primary investigator on fatality and other complex enforcement inspections, providing occupational health and safety compliance assistance to Ohio public employers and employees. The role requires knowledge of industrial hygiene safety practices, laws, rules, and regulations, as well as the ability to conduct air, noise, and chemical monitoring and sampling using related industrial hygiene equipment.
What You Will Do
The Senior Compliance Safety & Health Officer will independently perform complex and comprehensive industrial hygiene and occupational safety inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with adopted OSHA standards. They will identify existing or potential safety and health hazards and facilitate compliance with adopted Ohio Employment Risk Reduction Standards in Ohio Revised Code & Ohio Administrative Code chapter 4167.

Requirements
- 12 months experience citing, interpreting, and applying Federal OSHA regulations and standards
