Role OverviewThe selected candidate will manage complex capital commitment projects, review proposed projects, work with Sponsor Agencies, and oversee each project from conception to completion. Reporting to the Deputy/Program Director, key responsibilities include generating cost estimates, developing deliverable dates, supervising project staff, resolving construction or design issues, and negotiating with contractors and vendors.
What You Will Do
The selected candidate will process and review change orders, project estimates, and reports. They will also ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to, work is completed on schedule, and contractor's performance is overseen.

Requirements
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting one or more construction projects with a total cost of at least $300,000 for each of the five years
- One year of experience as described above and a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, construction, construction technology, or construction management
- A valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect issued by a board of examining engineers, architects, or landscape architects duly established and qualified pursuant to the laws of any state or territory of the United States
- A combination of at least two years of experience as described above and the education as described above to equal a total of five years of education and experience
- A motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York
