Job Description
Torq is seeking a Senior Consultant - Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable data systems and provide strategic insights to clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling
  • Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development, scripting automation, and performance optimization
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Terraform, and other related tools
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, schema design, normalization/denormalization, and data lifecycle management
  • Cloud data platforms: Azure Data Services, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Data Warehousing: Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.
  • Proficient in Reporting Platforms to query large data sets
  • Familiarity with data governance security, and compliance best practices
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
