Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support cost management and commercial delivery for a large, multi‐phase data center development program in the Lubbock, TX area. The role requires strong cost control, accurate reporting, and coordination across multiple phases and work packages.
Requirements
Manage day‐to‐day cost management activities for a multi‐phase data center program, ensuring commercial rigor and compliance with project requirements.
Prepare and maintain detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates across multiple packages and stages of design and construction.
Support procurement activities, including issuing RFPs, reviewing contractor proposals, conducting scope reviews, and assisting in commercial negotiations.
Lead cost reporting, including monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, commitment tracking, and risk reviews.
Oversee change management processes: review, analyze, negotiate, and reconcile change orders.
Support value engineering and design‐to‐budget initiatives throughout design and delivery.
Provide cost input into scheduling, risk, and project controls processes.
Maintain accurate benchmarking, cost databases, and historical cost records.
Mentor junior cost managers and quantity surveyors as needed.
Ensure compliance with Turner & Townsend Business Management Systems (BMS) and best‐practice delivery standards.
