Job Description
As Senior Counsel, Commercial, you will provide expert legal services and guidance on complex commercial trading and origination matters at Phillips 66, a leading energy company. You'll work closely with senior leaders and internal clients, serving as a trusted advisor and business partner.
Requirements
Provide advice and counsel to the natural gas and power trading desks and other commercial stakeholders.
Draft and advise on a wide range of trading, storage, and transportation agreements.
Provide counsel on the structuring and negotiation of long-term origination deals and other complex commercial arrangements.
Manage relationships with internal clients, acting as a strategic business partner.
Instruct and manage outside counsel and specialists.
Recommend and implement changes to policies, processes, and standards to improve operational support and ensure compliance.
Monitor, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, and industry best practices, maintaining up-to-date expertise through continuous professional development.
Lead or contribute to major and unique legal assignments of significant importance.
Develop and deliver clear, compelling communications and presentations to various stakeholders.
Lead and manage significant commercial disputes, including strategy development, cost-effective use of outside counsel, and risk assessment for matters with material business impact.
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior attorneys and legal professionals.
