Role OverviewMWH Constructors is a global project delivery company in heavy civil construction with a focus on water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. The Senior Counsel will support company operations out of the Broomfield, CO corporate headquarters.
What You Will Do
Provide legal counsel and guidance on day-to-day corporate activities and special situations. Analyze legal matters arising in connection with project pursuit and execution and provide advice and counsel to project management and Senior executives.

Requirements
- J.D. degree and license to practice law
- Minimum 8+ years of related work experience within an engineering or construction company or a law firm in the construction and/or engineering field
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, joint venture agreements, project management agreements, parent company guarantees, and related contracts
- Proven construction claims preparations, negotiations and settlement skills
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
- Strong understanding of construction insurance and bonding
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to interact with and provide counsel to senior management
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization’s legal department and across all businesses
- Practical, commercial and solution-oriented, problem-solving approach
