Role Overview

The Senior Counselor provides direct services, case management, and coordination of care to an assigned caseload of individuals and families. This position assists in accessing needed supports and resources in the community and facilitates ongoing communication and advocacy between the family, DCF, school, probation, and other involved supports or service providers.

What You Will Do

Develops case management plans, provides direct case management services, and coordinates care specific to each assigned client and/or family. Provides front-line crisis support, makes decisions based on interpretation of data, and uses judgment to interpret and adapt program guidelines.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires a BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field. Previous experience working with client populations with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders is required. Effective time management, strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
