Role OverviewThe Florida Gaming Control Commission is responsible for exercising all regulatory and executive powers of the state with respect to legal gaming. The Division of Gaming Enforcement is a criminal justice agency comprised of sworn law enforcement officers and criminal intelligence analysts handling complex cases involving RICO, money laundering, and illegal gambling throughout the state. The Commission offers a supportive work environment that fosters growth and collaboration.
What You Will Do
The incumbent will initiate research projects related to sophisticated or complex criminal activity to determine the structure, scope of operations, capabilities, and weaknesses of the criminal suspect or organization in furtherance of Commission investigations. Specific duties include reviewing, monitoring, and researching crime reports to identify activities, patterns, and techniques used to facilitate and conduct illegal gambling.

Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating strong skills in critical thinking, analytical research and interpretation, and developing and delivering presentations. Applicants should possess excellent multi-tasking skills.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in criminal intelligence, crime analysis, or investigative analysis at a law enforcement agency.
- Experience in military intelligence or homeland security intelligence, or experience in financial analysis at a governmental or private sector entity, can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of law enforcement analytical experience.
- Successful completion of the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy.
