Role OverviewIDS is seeking a Data Engineer to support the Navy's acquisition transformation strategy. The successful candidate will work hands-on with complex acquisition and finance data to develop scalable, production-ready capabilities while helping establish reusable patterns for data ingestion, integration, and delivery.
What You Will Do
Design, build, and operate production data pipelines in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and Python across an Oracle, Talend, and Apigee stack. Integrate and transform acquisition and financial datasets into reliable, reusable data products. Develop data models and analytics datasets that drive enterprise reporting and operational decisions.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, plus working proficiency in Java, Python, and JSON. Experience building and operating production ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and integrating or consuming data through REST APIs is required. Experience with DoW acquisition and finance data and delivering in an IL-4/5 or other accredited government cloud environment is preferred.
