Job Description
Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional - Data Engineer (Ownership) to own the end-to-end data ingestion of Ownership datasets, analyze internal processes to find opportunities for improvement, and design data models to create data storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience, and 4+ years of experience in data analysis, financial market research, and/or information technology.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, financial market research, and/or information technology
  • Proficiency using scripting languages (preferably Python) to build pre-processing services
  • Solid grasp of data modeling principles and technologies
  • Experience profiling new datasets, and implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines
  • Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data and product perspective
