Role OverviewThis position requires an experienced Database Administrator to assist with database operations, user connectivity, database security, backup and recovery, data integrity, database updates, and database reporting for the FDA.gov website. The Database Administrator will work independently to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of the database systems. The role involves administering, maintaining, and monitoring database systems supporting the website, including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
What You Will Do
Administer, maintain, and monitor database systems, assist with database operations, user connectivity, database security, backup and recovery, data integrity, database updates, and database reporting. Perform all aspects of database system administration, including installation of instances, tuning of instances and queries, space management, and database installation, configuration, and tuning to support optimal website performance and scalability.
