Job Description
VIAVI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Datacenter Technician to operate within our dedicated space inside a shared datacenter environment. This is a high trust, high autonomy position requiring strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to execute with minimal daily supervision.

Requirements

  • Install, remove, migrate, and cable racked equipment
  • Perform copper and fiber cabling runs and patching
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory
  • Manage e-waste recycling processes
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, services on Linux servers, proprietary hardware, and other critical systems
  • Track and maintain service contracts, warranties, preventive maintenance schedules, and license renewals
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools such as Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform, Packer, and PowerShell
