Role OverviewServe as a technical resource and mechanical engineering lead for New Product Development engineering projects within the electrical/plumbing organization. May manage projects and/or small teams.
What You Will Do
Develop, write, and analyze testing reports. Execute calculations and software aided analyses in areas such as mechanical stress analysis and gearing design.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Apply understanding of the New Product Development process from conception through product launch. Work with cross-functional teams to frame up technical tradeoff discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent
- 5 years of relevant experience as a Design Engineer or alternate related acceptable occupation
- Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, or Python
- Experience with 3D CAD software (NX, Creo, Solidworks, or similar)
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA)
- Design for manufacturing and design for assembly skills
- Part cost estimation using aPriori
- Design of pumps (CF Turbo, theoretical analysis, fluid dynamics, and seal design)
