Role OverviewThe Senior Developer will focus on supporting shop floor applications that enable Lightera's digital manufacturing capabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of how business processes, manufacturing processes, and IT systems interact. The candidate will be expected to gather and assess requirements, design, develop, and support multiple native and 3rd party applications.

The Senior Developer will gather and assess requirements, design, develop, and support multiple native and 3rd party applications. This includes working with complex, fast-paced environments and interacting with business processes, manufacturing processes, and IT systems.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in delivering manufacturing shop floor solutions using Industry 4.0 technologies. They will also have a strong understanding of software development methodologies, data models, and tools such as Ignition, Unified Name Space, and Oracle/MS SQL databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of focused experience on delivering manufacturing shop floor solutions using current generation Industry 4.0 shop floor technologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate business demands into structured software requirement and design documents
- Exposure to Oracle and/or MS SQL databases and the associated development platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as part of a team, while doing application development
- Demonstrated understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, waterfall...), the tools associated with each, along with the tradeoffs
- Demonstrated understanding of the Microsoft.NET Framework, MS Visual Studio 2022 or greater and the associated software languages (ASP.NET, C++ and C#.NET). Plus Python/Jython & JAVA
