Senior Director, Corporate Counsel

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate
• Pass the bar exam and maintain an active license to practice law in a jurisdiction in the United States
• At least 3 years of legal experience gained through either a major law firm or in-house experience or a combination of both
• Solid healthcare experience, including hospital/healthcare business operations and contracting
• Executive leadership and ability to see and handle more than the “legal” issues of a project
• Strong pragmatic business acumen with the ability to recognize the business consequences of legal advice
• Strategic and innovative thinker who can develop and articulate a clear understanding of the organization’s strategy from all perspectives and find creative solutions to complex legal problems
• Experience with compliance-related issues and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and enforce compliance and legal policies and procedures
• Proven track record of strong negotiation, communication, organizational and people management skills and the ability to influence and build relationships without direct authority
• Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, problem solving and decision making
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with management, staff, physicians and banking personnel
• Skill in developing effective divisional policies and procedures
