Job Description
The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is seeking a full-time Senior Director in the Office of Recruitment & Retention (ORR). This role will manage unit leadership responsible for day-to-day operations, focusing on Call Center Operations, Recruitment Communications, Staffing and Event Coordination, with a strong emphasis on workforce Recruitment for Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Inspectors. The Senior Director will support Department Human Capital goals, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives to ensure effective workforce recruitment.

Requirements

  • 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Four years of full-time community liaison, community organization, or community relations experience
  • Four years of full-time experience as described in 1 above, at least two years in a broad administrative or policy-making capacity.
