Role Overview

Reporting to the VP of Strategy and Business Operations, the Senior Director of Procurement will lead our strategic procurement function, developing and executing our strategy to reduce cost, improve service levels, and deepen our vendor relationships across the entire direct, indirect, and capex spend categories for hospital and corporate departments.

What You Will Do

Design and implement the foundational procurement framework, including standardized policies, SOPs, and the development of enterprise-grade procurement systems and processes. Direct the full procurement lifecycle, including market analysis, RFP/RFQ development, supplier identification, and rigorous commercial evaluations across all categories of direct and indirect spend and capex at practices and corporate locations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in procurement and/or supply chain roles
  • Ownership over an entire enterprise or multiple major categories of expenditure ($50-100M+)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field; master’s degree in supply chain management or business administration strongly preferred
  • Significant experience leading complex end-to-end RFPs and vendor negotiations to achieve stronger partnerships, service levels, and improved cost positions
  • Experience in healthcare, veterinary services, or multi-site service organizations strongly preferred
  • Highly commercial skillset with demonstrated capabilities to negotiate unique and/or creative solutions with partners
  • Experience within a private equity-backed, high-growth, multi-site environment preferred
  • Experience leading and developing a team of procurement / supply chain professionals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex insights for diverse audiences
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
