Role Overview

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for a Senior Director of Tax, Treasury & Compliance reporting to the CAO. As the senior leader of the function, you will play a pivotal role in leading all aspects of the company's tax & treasury function, ensuring compliance, optimizing tax positions, and driving strategic tax planning across the entities worldwide.

What You Will Do

Company Maturity: Lead and coordinate all tax-related activities required for Fivetran's next stage of growth and maturity, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and best practices. Tax Compliance: Oversee the timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and international income tax returns, including quarterly estimates and extensions.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, private and public companies, with progressive complexity in scope and responsibilities.
  • CPA or CA designation required.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, including ASC 740, SOX, and international tax principles.
  • IPO Readiness: Experience in IPO readiness processes and involvement in IPO-related activities is preferred.
  • International Tax: Experience working with international accounting teams and handling intercompany transactions.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead material initiatives, inspire others, and drive results.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Proactive and Detail-Oriented: Ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and work with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Technology Savvy: Enthusiasm for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
