CNBC is seeking a senior editor to shape the daily and enterprise coverage of CNBC Make It, a brand that helps audiences navigate their professional and financial futures. The ideal candidate is a creative and experienced editor with sharp news judgment, excellent storytelling instincts, and a deep understanding of what engages digital audiences.

What You Will Do

The senior editor will shape Make It's daily and enterprise coverage, working closely with reporters, producers, and senior editors to identify compelling angles, elevate story ideas, and ensure every piece is clear, useful, memorable, and true to the Make It voice.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of editing experience in a digital newsroom or publishing environment.
• At least 3 years managing an editorial team.
• Proven journalism skills and editorial judgment.
• Strong understanding of SEO, analytics, digital news production, and journalistic standards.
• Proven ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging for a broad audience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience editing short and long form with accuracy, readability, structure, tone, and legal standards in mind.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively under deadline pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Media training and experience as an expert on live television is a plus.
• Firm grasp of AP Style guidelines and editorial best practices.
