Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced financial news editor for the CNBC Markets and premium team covering equities and investing. The editor should be highly skilled at editing stories about stock and other market movements and trends, as well as stories about investing off developments in the news.
What You Will Do
Edit multiple fast stories a day on financial markets, assign and edit stories about investing, edit investing newsletters, and work with reporters to develop story ideas and build an engaging narrative.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate would have extensive editing experience, broad knowledge of the financial markets and company financials, good communication skills, and experience managing a team of reporters.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years editing experience in financial news
- Minimum 3 years managing direct reports
- Strong knowledge of various financial markets
- Editing for speed and quality
- Solid communication, providing positive feedback
- Experiencing managing a team of journalists
