Role OverviewHDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Power sector, focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will work on grid-scale BESS projects, supporting developers and utilities, and contribute to reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems.
What You Will Do
Develop conceptual layouts, one-line diagrams, and detailed engineering designs for BESS projects. Evaluate energy storage technologies and vendors, prepare technical reports, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver Issue for Construction design packages. Provide construction phase technical support and mentor junior team members.

This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. You should have at least 10 years of experience in BESS, power generation, or related fields, and strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and power system software. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
