Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will support work at the Naval Research Laboratory, designing, analyzing, and testing electrical systems for ground support equipment and flight hardware. This role involves developing analog and digital circuitry for thermal and electromechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for ground support and flight systems.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and testing analog and digital circuitry for thermal, electromechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Expertise in the sizing, technology selection, packaging, and testing of power systems, including batteries of various chemistries.
  • Strong understanding of component ratings, environmental and performance limitations, radiation impacts, grounding and shielding methods, electromagnetic compatibility, and thermal effects.
  • Proficiency with electronics design and simulation tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, ELECTRO, and MAGNETO.
  • Skilled in the use of electronic instrumentation and test equipment.
  • Experience with government procurement practices, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
