Role OverviewThe Senior Electrical Engineer will support work at the Naval Research Laboratory, designing, analyzing, and testing electrical systems for ground support equipment and flight hardware. Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for ground support and flight systems.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and testing analog and digital circuitry for thermal, electromechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.
- Expertise in the sizing, technology selection, packaging, and testing of power systems, including batteries of various chemistries.
- Strong understanding of component ratings, environmental and performance limitations, radiation impacts, grounding and shielding methods, electromagnetic compatibility, and thermal effects.
- Proficiency with electronics design and simulation tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, ELECTRO, and MAGNETO.
- Skilled in the use of electronic instrumentation and test equipment.
- Experience with government procurement practices, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
- U.S. Citizenship required.
