Senior Electrical Engineer

PetSafe Brands is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support project initiatives and advance product lines. The role involves determining technical feasibility, developing product specifications, and creating electrical designs. The engineer will work closely with the project lead and collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to optimize product design.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include providing electrical concepts, determining technical feasibility, developing product specifications, creating electrical designs, and executing the company's Intellectual Property Strategy. The engineer will also support development of instruction manuals and conduct competitive product analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of electronic design experience
• 4-year technical degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on electrical or electronic engineering
• Experience in a wide array of technologies
• Self-starting, self-motivated, and a goal-oriented team member
• Proficient user of Schematic Capture software (Altium a plus)
• Exceptional at building and testing prototype PCBA
• Proficient user of graphical presentation and documentation tools
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of common Office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Has ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines
• Possesses both the ability to work independently and work with a team to accomplish tasks
