Role OverviewThe Electrical Inspections Unit seeks to hire a Supervisor of Electrical Installations and Maintenance to supervise electrical installations, ensure contract compliance, and review related plans and specifications.
What You Will Do
Supervise electrical installations, ensure contract compliance, review related plans and specifications, direct and follow up on the issuance of street lighting orders, and interface with outside city agencies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have experience in the installation, repair, and/or inspection of electrical equipment, and be able to supervise construction performed by contractors and investigate complaints.
Requirements
- Four years of full-time satisfactory experience in the installation, repair and/or inspection of electrical equipment
- A combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the four years of experience required
- A baccalaureate degree in engineering or engineering technology
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience working for a city agency or authority governed by the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of New York
- A motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York
