Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead and oversee heavy civil earthwork projects involving embankment construction, mass grading, excavation, fill placement, and soil compaction on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County, Florida. This project offers potential Project Team members a valuable opportunity to broaden their professional experience and advance their careers throughout its duration.

What You Will Do

Manage the planning, execution, and completion of embankment and heavy civil earthwork projects, including excavation, fill placement, grading, and compaction operations. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, equipment plans, and resource requirements to meet production and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, earthwork, mining, aggregates, or related industries, with at least 3 years in a project management or supervisory role
  • Demonstrated experience managing embankment, mass grading, earthwork, or large-scale soil placement and compaction projects
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, earthwork operations, grading, compaction, and heavy civil construction methods
  • Experience coordinating heavy equipment, material quantities, hauling operations, and field production
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with project plans, specifications, surveying/layout, quality control testing, and construction documentation
  • Familiarity with OSHA, MSHA, environmental regulations, and applicable construction standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, estimating/cost-control systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred
