Role Overview

The Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager will lead new business development efforts and manage mid- to large-scale energy and environmental projects. This role requires a strong technical and business development background, with a focus on project delivery, client development, and team leadership. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of environmental regulations and project management principles, with the ability to navigate complex public processes and municipal approvals.

The Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager will oversee program-wide projects, develop project strategies, manage project billing, and prepare compliant project proposals. This role will also involve representing clients in agency meetings, managing subcontractors, and providing technical guidance to project teams and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Geology, Environmental/Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Remediation and Environmental Engineering, Geology, Planning Environmental Sciences, or another related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of site investigation, project permitting, environmental compliance, and project management experience.
  • Strong technical and business development background.
  • Complete understanding of MS Office programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret and apply site investigation and remediation practices and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work using critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage projects, time, tasks, changing priorities, deliverables, and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships through collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and outcomes with integrity, honesty, and transparency.
