Role Overview

Join a team of professionals motivated by the goal of impacting the clean energy transition at scale. As a Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant, you will help deliver innovative customer programs to reduce or shift demand during peak times, reduce infrastructure build out, and support the operation of a reliable electric grid.

What You Will Do

Lead technical and operational aspects of C&I demand response, promote awareness of demand management strategies, manage contracted vendors, develop growth initiatives, and train stakeholders on demand response program strategies.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with cloud-based software platforms, C&I curtailment strategies, connected devices, energy markets, DERMS, and VPPs
  • At least a mid-level understanding of building mechanical systems and computerized building control systems
  • Solid grasp of technical concepts, such as basic operation of the electrical grid, battery storage systems, digital/IT integrations, and data architecture/analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts with appropriate level of detail for audience
  • Excellent problem-solving ability; takes appropriate steps with limited guidance
  • Takes the customer’s perspective and incorporates it into program design, delivery and communications
  • Basic understanding of basic financial principles and proficiency with PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot)
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. MBA or master’s degree preferred
  • Eight (8) plus years of relevant experience in engineering, sales, product/program/project management, or energy efficiency/demand response
  • At least five (5) plus years of experience delivering demand response programs or working with building management systems and controls, highly desired
