Job Description
The City and County of Denver seeks a Senior Engineer to support the Sidewalk Program and make a direct impact on improving the city. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation engineering, design project management, and communicating engineering concepts to non-engineers.
Requirements
At least three years of progressive experience in transportation engineering with a strong drive as a Design project manager to push projects forward to meet tight deadlines.
Experience designing, reviewing designs, preparing bid documents and/or works orders for transportation infrastructure projects (especially sidewalks, trails, and other flatwork).
Experience in establishing policies, procedures, and other standard work.
Experience in communicating engineering concepts and designs to non-engineers.
A comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and City agency policies, standards, and systems.
A passion for improving our community and mentoring others.
