Role OverviewThe Senior Performance Engineer will support the O&M Engineering team by analyzing the performance characteristics of AES Clean Energy's photovoltaic and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in implementing programs and processes to ensure reliable, safe, and optimal generation.
What You Will Do
A day in the life of an AES CE Senior Performance Engineer will include analyzing operational performance and trends of solar plus storage sites, remotely investigating site performance, leading coordination with Operations teams, and facilitating major site repairs and performance tests.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field
- 5+ Years of professional experience in engineering with focus on measuring and maintaining system performance
- Strong understanding of industry trends in production tools and processes
- Proficiency with advanced analysis and database tools for development of metrics and dashboards
- Ability to work effectively with Microsoft software programs
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend equipment/facility schematics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
