Senior Engineering Section Manager

The Engineering Section Manager will lead the engineering functions supporting substation and power infrastructure design projects within the Substation Division. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in power and energy infrastructure, substation design, and employee development.

What You Will Do

The Engineering Section Manager will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, external design partners, and equipment suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power and energy infrastructure, substation design, and employee development, with at least seven years of experience supporting power and energy infrastructure projects, including at least three years of engineering management or leadership experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
• At least seven years of experience supporting power and energy infrastructure projects
• At least three years of engineering management or leadership experience
• Advanced knowledge of substation and power infrastructure design, electrical codes, and IEEE standards
• Technical drawing knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and approve complex electrical and mechanical drawings
• Leadership skills and ability to lead, develop, and motivate engineering professionals
• Problem-solving ability and ability to evaluate complex engineering issues and develop effective technical solutions
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, and applicable engineering analysis software
