Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist

Lead advanced environmental technical work in support of complex projects within the EHS business unit. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects across air, water, and waste programs, while strengthening client relationships and contributing to strategic growth.

Manage complex environmental compliance projects, interpret and apply environmental regulations, oversee environmental assessments, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• 7-15+ years of relevant professional experience performing environmental technical work within a consulting, industry, or regulatory setting
• Clean Air Act (CAA) – Air permitting (Title V, NSR/PSD), emissions standards, MACT, NAAQS compliance
• Clean Water Act (CWA) – NPDES permitting, stormwater (construction/industrial), wetlands (Section 404/401), SPCC
• Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) – Hazardous waste generation, storage, treatment, disposal (cradle-to-grave)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and data interpretation skills
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to assigned projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet project deadlines
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and as part of a project team
• Professional judgment and discretion in technical, regulatory, and client interactions
