Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA. The role involves managing water and wastewater treatment planning, design, and services for various projects in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering, project management experience, and excellent communication skills.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will independently perform technical analyses, prepare and review technical reports, and design environmental protection systems. You will also lead small design and technical teams, develop client relationships, and work with clients to better serve their needs.

Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of environmental engineering principles, methods, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage assigned tasks independently and meet project deadlines
- Clear and effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Typically, a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Environmental Engineering or related field
- Experience in preparation of plans and permit applications for environmental projects
- Prior experience in guidance and development of less experienced colleagues
- Typically certified in the SMS Framework, and progressing through the SMS competencies
- EIT is required and ability to obtain a P.E in the state of California within the next 6 months is preferred
- Experience leading or supporting competitive sales efforts with municipal clients is required
- Experience managing and delivering water and wastewater treatment and conveyance related planning and design projects in the role as a project manager is required
- Strong written communication skills and experience producing technical reports
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field is required
- Has achieved or is working towards achieving professional license
