Role Overview

The Senior Facility Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor and serves as a technical resource, ensuring safe, functional, and welcoming environments across all Opportunity Village campuses. This position performs and coordinates advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, carpentry, and painting. The Senior Facility Technician provides day-to-day technical support by coordinating complex repairs and preventive maintenance activities, supporting facility improvement projects, and serving as the primary technical resource for challenging maintenance issues.

What You Will Do

The Senior Facility Technician will perform and coordinate advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, central plant, mechanical, and other building systems across all Opportunity Village facilities. They will lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of preventive maintenance (PM) programs across all campuses, diagnose and resolve complex problems with air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems, and conduct repair and maintenance on specialized or industrial equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in facilities maintenance
  • EPA Universal certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
  • HVAC Course Completion or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
  • Forklift certification obtained within three (3) months of hire
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements
