Job Description
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is seeking a Senior Fair Housing Planner for the Equitable Neighborhood Initiatives team in the Division of Neighborhood Development and Stabilization. The role involves policy development, community engagement, and integrating fair housing strategies within the city's housing programs. This position offers an opportunity to help advance fair housing in New York City and combat systemic discrimination.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in urban planning, urban studies, sociology, public policy, law, or political science (or equivalent experience), or equivalent high school graduation/equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in a related field
  • Experience with policy research and data analysis
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS) is a plus
  • Experience with qualitative data analysis and statistical analysis (Excel, R, Stata, Python)
