Job Description
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to perform fiscal/accounting duties, administer fiscal aspects of line-items and/or grants, and collaborate with offices and/or schools to assemble, review and analyze spending. The ideal candidate will have 42 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, or equivalent qualifications.

Requirements

  • Process fiscal transactions, including refunds, deposits, grant awards, and claims
  • Determine daily cash draws and reconcile fiscal activities
  • Design, approve, and prepare financial/accounting documents
  • Assist in updating and recommending changes in fiscal policies and procedures
  • Train agency staff on fiscal policies and procedures
  • Administer fiscal aspects of line-items and/or grants
  • Collaborate with offices and/or schools to assemble, review, and analyze spending
  • Prepare, update, and review financial/grant reports
