Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team in Richmond, VA. This is a hybrid position with relocation benefits available. The role supports technical accounting research, accounting policy application, and external reporting activities while collaborating with financial and operational partners across the organization.
What You Will Do
Supporting technical accounting analyses for business transactions, including researching accounting guidance, preparing supporting documentation, and helping develop well-supported accounting conclusions. Preparing clear and concise accounting memoranda, technical analyses, and supporting work papers to facilitate effective review and decision-making.

We want you to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred. 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting; and/or in SEC reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills paired with ability to evaluate issues, identify risks, and develop practical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting; and/or in SEC reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting
- Direct hands-on experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience researching accounting guidance and preparing accounting analyses, technical memoranda, and supporting documentation for complex accounting matters
